Clean/Non-Toxic vs. Traditional spray tans

The words 'non-toxic' are everywhere, from the grocery store to the salon. But when it comes to spray tans, what does it actually mean? Is it just a trendy label, or is there a real benefit for your skin? Let's demystify it together.

· What is DHA? (The Tanning Agent)

· Both traditional and clean tans use DHA (from sugar beets) to create a color reaction with your skin. This ingredient is FDA-approved and is in all self-tanners. The difference lies in what else is in the bottle.

· The "Other" Ingredients:

· Traditional: May contain alcohols, artificial fragrances, and parabens. These can sometimes be drying or cause irritation for sensitive skin.

· Our Clean/Non-Toxic Tans: Uses plant-based ingredients like aloe vera, combined with water and DHA. No dyes, no chemicals, no junk.

· The Color Result:

· I clean solutions because the color is just... better. It tends to develop with more natural, olive or golden undertones, avoiding that dreaded orange hue. It looks like you just got back from a luxurious vacation, not from a bottle in a tent.

For me, it's a no-brainer. Using a solution that's better for your body and gives a more natural result is a win-win. That's why I proudly offer premium clean spray tans to all my clients in Naples, Marco Island, and Bonita Springs, Florida. If you are unable to come to my spa suite, I am elated to come to you!
